What horsepower is this motor

    Have just fitted motor to my Corvette,it is 383 four bolt,KB 10:1 hyper pistons ,hydraulic flat tappet cam at.050 duration 214/224 at 444/467 lift,Edelbrock performer heads with LT1 springs ,hugger headers through single straight through Lukey back out to two pipes,standard oil pump ,three core alloy radiator,Holley 670 street Avenger ,wieand dual plane manifold,recod t/h 350 with stage two shift kit 3000 hi-stall Hei dizzy.Running 255x60x15 rear wheels.Any ideas on improving cam and general engine performance? Cam does not have as much lope as hoped for but it must be able to supply vaccum for brakes and lights.

    I'd guess somewhere around 500-600 horses depending on tune. I'm no engineer, but that sounds like a sweet setup. Have any pics?

    Yea @TimK -- do you have any photos? And are you asking us to guess or do you really not know how much it puts out?

    Would be fun to dyno it! :)

    500-600? Not with that cam. With a good sized cam, I could see 450 at the wheels possible, which would be around 500 at the fly. As it sits, maybe 400-450.
